What is the Antenna Installer Endorsement Scheme?

The Antenna Installer Endorsement Scheme has been developed in consultation with industry, including the Australian Digital Television Industry Association (ADTIA), to ensure consumers have access to knowledgeable and experienced antenna installers, to help them get ready for digital TV.

Antenna installers seeking endorsement have their registration for participation approved and their knowledge assessed against industry agreed minimum standards.

Endorsed antenna installers have their business contact details published on this website so that consumers can find them.  

If you are an experienced antenna installer, we invite you to join the Antenna Installer Endorsement Scheme.

If your installation business employs and/or engages an endorsed antenna installer, we invite you to register your business for a licence to use the ‘Get Ready for Digital TV’ campaign logo to advertise your participation in the Antenna Installer Endorsement Scheme.

The Scheme is voluntary and free to join. It’s not a licence or qualification, but a way for consumers to know that endorsed antenna installers have met industry agreed standards.

How will the Scheme benefit my business?

As an endorsed installer and /or a licensed installation business your business contact details will be published on this website so consumers can find you. You will also receive:

  • Direct information from the Digital Switchover Taskforce about switchover, including information about transmission and reception in your local area;
  • Promotion of the Scheme at a range of events and on regional advertising and marketing materials;
  • An Australian Government endorsement badge showing your details and endorsement level/s; and
  • Use of the ‘Get Ready for Digital TV’ campaign logo to advertise that your business is participating in the Scheme.

How do I become an endorsed antenna installer?

To become endorsed under the Scheme you must:

  1. Register for participation; you will need your ABN or your employer’s ABN and a valid and current email address.
  2. Provide the required registration information and documents to the Digital Switchover Taskforce.
  3. Have your registration approved by the Digital Switchover Taskforce.
  4. Complete the online assessment/s.
